Meet The Owner and Certified Executive Chef Mr. A. K. Qureshi of Usmania Tikka Kabab. The restaurant is co-owned and operated by his wife Musawar in partnership with their Grandson Raheel Qureshi. Mr Qureshi has been honing and practicing the art of cooking since he was 13 years old in Nathagalie, a picturesque resort town near Muree Pakistan. His early training in Pakistan landed him a job as a chef in University of Pehawar.
In US he attended Addison Technical School and Seattle Community College and earned his certificate of commercial cooking. He worked as Chef at Bellingham Yacht Club for eight years, another eight years for Sand Point Golf and Country Club and at Holiday Inn @ Damish Field for three years. He has owned and operated seven restaurants during his time in the US. These include widely popular Marco Polo and Usmania Tikka Kabab restaurants in Mukilteo, Mill Creek and Bellevue. After selling these restaurants in 2009 he reopened his business at this new Everett location. It has been an instant success.
Mr. Qureshi with his years of experience in blending authentic Indo-Pak cuisine with American tastes brings out unique flavors that are instantly liked by most people. His dishes bring out the unique flavors of authentic and original Northwest (Pakistan) cooking. Mr. Qureshi has also developed delectable Mediterranean dishes that are enjoyed by many of his customers.
